The programme was organized under the guidance of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice -Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh and the leadership of Dr Richa Ranjan, Dean and Head of the University School of Law and President, Human Rights Council, WICCI, UT Chandigarh.
She said that the purpose of this programme is to connect the students with the orphaned children and old age people for community service. Human Rights Awareness was done by Rukhsar Kousar, council Member, Human Rights.
Dr Richa Ranjan said the students of the University School of Law distributed stationery items and food items among children, played musical chair and other games with the children there. The fact that senior citizens have no support even from their own children touched the hearts of students and the purpose of the visit was fulfilled, she added.
